Inaugural Middle East Cosmetics Show wraps up with vibrant visitor turnout

The debut edition of the Middle East Cosmetics Show concluded Sunday on a high note at Expo Centre Sharjah, drawing a remarkable visitor turnout.
Organised by Expo Sharjah with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the five-day exhibition brought together more than 200 local and international brands, showcasing the latest trends and innovations in the beauty and personal care market. Covering more than 2,000 square meters, the Middle East Cosmetics Show featured over 5,000 products spanning makeup, fragrances, and organic cosmetics.
Beyond product showcases, the exhibition positioned itself as a strategic networking hub, fostering knowledge exchange and partnerships among top beauty manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and e-commerce giants, while shedding light on the latest global trends in cosmetic innovation.
It also highlighted the region’s growing influence in driving the global cosmetics industry. The Gulf region is one of the world’s fastest-growing beauty markets, accounting for 86% of the Middle East and North Africa’s cosmetics market.
The Middle East Cosmetics Show served as a commercial platform that effectively increased exhibitors’ market reach and sales performance through an interactive setup that encouraged direct engagement with industry professionals and consumers. It offered valuable opportunities for beauty brands to promote their products to a wide audience and expand their footprint across local and regional markets.
Bringing together over eight core segments of the beauty industry facets, from skincare, haircare, perfumery, and organic beauty products to cosmetic ingredients manufacturers and suppliers, beauty clinics, and specialised e-commerce platforms, the exhibition underscored its strategic role in accelerating growth and innovation across the cosmetics and personal care sectors in the region.
The Emirati Cosmetics Entrepreneurs Platform, launched by the Sharjah Chamber, drew strong attention during the exhibition, serving as a strategic initiative to foster local entrepreneurship and innovation in the beauty industry.
Featuring six Emirati business owners, the platform presented a diverse range of products that seamlessly merged the authenticity of the UAE heritage with modern beauty trends. These products featured natural and locally sourced ingredients to create modern and innovative formulations aligned with global beauty trends. The showcased lines, ranging from skincare to natural oils and culturally inspired cosmetics, resonated with both consumers and investors seeking sustainable and culturally rooted brands.
In his remarks, H.E. Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, said that the success of the debut Middle East Cosmetics Show stands as a testament to the Centre’s strategy of advancing specialised trade fairs and strengthening Sharjah’s position as a regional and international hub for high-profile events.
He noted that the exhibition served as a key platform that gathered major global beauty brands, entrepreneurs, distributors, and industry experts under one roof, fostering a dynamic business environment that boosted growth opportunities for exhibitors, directly increased their sales, and enhanced their market presence and brand visibility.
Visitors to the inaugural edition of Middle East Cosmetics Show enjoyed special offers and exclusive discounts on a wide array of premium beauty and personal care products. The show served as a premier venue for product launches and the unveiling of cutting-edge beauty innovations from top brands.
The exhibition also hosted over 150 live demonstrations and tutorials performed by renowned makeup artists and beauty specialists, showcasing product applications and advanced beauty techniques, in addition to a series of expert-led educational sessions and hands-on workshops, addressing key areas including skincare, fragrance formulation, and brand development strategies.
